Job description

The Operations Specialist – EMEA is the connection between the different departments in the order to cash process, ensuring business alignment to achieve organizational goals with the minimum wastage in the process. The role helps to balance customer satisfaction with overall supply chain continuity and all direct and indirect costs. The role also supports global supply chain reporting alignment.

Objectives of the role:

  • Manage day-to-day operational tasks for Logistics in EMEA
  • Help track first and second level key performance indicators
  • Provide Sales insights into their costs of serving each channel
  • Lead tactical projects for Logistics in EMEA and Global Planning
  • Support the Head of Global Supply Chain with data analytics
  • Be part of a team of supply chain enthusiasts
  • Be a bridge from the Amsterdam HQ to operations in Enschede

    Technical requirements

    • Driving operational excellence in the supply chain to improve delivery reliability, while assuring top end customer experience for the lowest possible total cost
    • Coordinate the intercompany shipments between our vendors and distribution centers, both with internal and external stakeholders
    • Be the first point of escalation for the EU 3PL. Manage inventory accuracy at the 3PL and coordinate special projects
    • Analyze data to be able to provide structural KPI overview for the global supply chain
    • Support the setup of new business opportunities and initiatives
    • Review and process invoices from external parties to monitor and analyze logistics costs
    • Support the Head of Logistics - EMEA by managing ad hoc tasks

      • Bachelor’s degree in business economics, business administration or supply chain management
      • 3 - 5 years of relevant working experience, in a global company with a Direct to Consumer channel
      • Experience in working with third party logistics and fulfillment partners
      • Affinity with global logistics; understanding the basics of Sea, Air & Road transportation
      • Strong communicator in Dutch and English, using data to recognize and define winning strategies
      • Strong negotiator with internal and external stakeholders
      • Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (Preferably Microsoft Dynamics NAV)

      What to expect

      This is a full-time role based in our Amsterdam HQ (Houthavens). You will be reporting directly to the Head of Global Logistics and working closely across the whole team.
